Moulana Mahomed Adam Kadwa
Moulana Mahomed Adam Kadwa (Hafizahullah), born on 5 May 1967 (29th Muharram 1387 A.H), completed Hifz al-Qur’an at Mia’s Farm under the late Hazrat Hafez Abdul Rahman Mia Saheb (Rahimahullah). He pursued the Dars-e-Nizami course at Madressa Falahe Darain in Tadkeshwar, India, studying under esteemed teachers and alongside senior ‘Ulama from South Africa and abroad. Moulana later continued his studies in Jalalabad in the noble company of Hazrat Moulana Maseehullah Khan Saheb (Rahimahullah) and then went to study the Bukhari Sharif and other Kitaabs at Madressa Ashrafiyyah in Rander–Surat under Hazrat Sheikh Ahmed Raza Ajmeri (Rahimahullah).
In 1991, despite civil unrest cancelling the annual Bukhari Sharif and Graduation Jalsa , Moulana’s Dastaar was conferred privately by the esteemed and highly respected Grand Mufti of Gujarat, Hazrat Mufti Abdul Rahim Lajpuri (Rahimahullah), and Hazrat Sheikh Ahmed Raza Ajmeri (Rahimahullah). After performing Umrah and Hajj that year, Moulana returned to South Africa, teaching for fifteen years at Isipingo Hills Masjid and delivering Jumu‘ah lectures around Durban. Moulana has also completed a one-year Jamaat effort in 1993 and numerous 40-day chillas internationally and locally.
Moulana currently conducts Qur’an Tafseer lessons at Isipingo Hills Masjid every Tuesday – After Esha in winter and After Magrhib in summer. He also delivers Jumu‘ah lectures across the city. With humility, Moulana holds every Muslim and student of Deen in high regard and continually strives to follow the path of the pious
